Well I've been in New York for 5 months now and loved every minute of it. Not only are the people are great, but the surroundings are inspirational, something different to see with the passing of each season. These were taken early one December morning just a few miles from my house just as the sun was appearing over the adjacent hillside. There is a huge complex of reservoirs all around this area which provide water to the City of New York, and me with a great photographic backdrop.
Back in September Nitin and I tied the knot at a small ceremony in Pawling, a smashing memory and a lovely town, one which I hope to get to know very well during 2010. Since then I've been writing like a maniac as the deadline for my book is fast approaching. It's certainly been a tortuous process but now it's nearly complete one which I will end up being very proud of I'm sure. The book should hit the shelves towards the end of 2010 and I'm I'll be providing updates as time goes on.
On the photography front 've been real busy too. Working as a freelance for Max Preps to cover High School sport in New York State - what a great experience.I've met some lovely people, taken some fabulous photos and got a glimpse of the real America.
Finally it was back to England over Christmas and as well as being able to catch up with my family I spent New Years Eve at the wedding of Amy and Damien. A long day but well worth it as I - and they - are really happy with the resulting images. I wanted to finish this post with a few of my favorites.
So All the best to you all for 2010, hope to update you all again soon
Stay Warm

I recognise that boat!!! =]
ReplyDeleteSome nice images here, I especially like the third one of Amy and Damien in black and white - it's very cool!
The bottom photo makes it look more like a rave than a wedding though! =]
Still, you'd have got better photos if I had been there. =P
